How to use the reorder pdf pages
- Drop a PDF onto the drop zone or click to choose one.
- Drag a page by its handle to a new position, or use the left and right arrow buttons. The buttons work with a keyboard and on touch screens.
- Remove pages with the bin button. Use Undo remove or Reset if you change your mind.
- Click Save new PDF and download it.
Worked example
Moving an appendix to the end
For a 3-page file where page 1 is an appendix, move page 1 to the last position to get the order 2, 3, 1. Removing page 1 instead gives a 2-page PDF containing the original pages 2 and 3.
How it works
The new order is applied by copying the pages, in the order shown, into a new document with pdf-lib copyPages. Removed pages are simply not copied. Page content is not re-compressed.

- Each card shows its new position and its original page number.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your PDF is processed in your browser on your own device and is never sent to our server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.
Can I reorder pages on a phone?
Yes. Drag the handle with your finger, or use the arrow buttons under each page, which are easier on small screens.
Does this change the page content?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
Can I use a password protected PDF?
Not for editing. Encrypted or permission-restricted PDFs are refused, because editing them without decrypting would create a broken file or bypass restrictions set by the author. If you are allowed to, remove the protection in the software that created it first.
Limitations
- Files up to 100 MB are accepted, but very large or complex PDFs depend on your device memory and can be slow on phones.
- Bookmarks and interactive form fields are not carried over.
- Encrypted or permission-restricted PDFs cannot be edited.
